Excavations at Stratton near Biggleswade continued from 1991 to 2001. The large investigational area included few prehistoric features but extensive Anglo-Saxon and Medieval features over 36 hectares. Vast quantities of pottery and many finds have been sent to Bedford Museum. It includes finds from a Saxon cemetry. The pattern shows a clear distinction between Stratton, Holme and Biggleswade. The final report of the project is to be published shortly.
