Details
A walk along the High Street provided an illustrated story of both the buildings and characters of the village. The talk was supported by a series of old photographs of the village allowing us to see past and present Riseley.
It was interesting to hear how all the main farms had the homes/outbuildings actually on the High Street. Naturally the blacksmith’s site was close by.
The route finally took us west past allotments/torch towards the Church and back past the primary school
