This year sees the centenary of the start of WWI and many research activities are coming to a climax through publications, events and TV broadcasts. The talk revealed to us the lives of the 12 men of Sharnbrook who gave their lives in World War I and whose names are listed on the village war memorial.

A summary of each individual showed their role/position in the village and their contribution to the war effort whether they served in France or at home. Inevitably many of the men have been buried in CWGC cemetries across northern France.
