This is a sequel to the first Census project ; the data from the 1911 census has now been published and will be put through the same transcription and verification processes ; additional columns will be created to handle the extra data about numbers of children in the current marriage. A new Census DVD will be created and it will include other data sources on population data including the 1910 Land Valuation records which show property ownership as well as current property residents.
All 2011 census data was downloaded and put through the normal procedures of input and verification. The census data was again analysed so that the graphs relating to sex, occupation, age etc were extended to cover the period 1841 - 1911.
Date from other sources were added to the new DVD.
Subsequently we have again collaborated with Colin Watt from Clophill and Colin has undertaken a comparison of census data between the two villages. A paper on this comparison was presented at the BLHA Annual conference hosted by SLHG in June 2016.
Discussion at the conference suggested that this type of study would be an option for other villages in the county.
