The planned development of the land belonging to Hill Farm has include an extensive archaeological programme conducted by MOLA in Northampton. There were 56 trenches spread over three distinct areas of the site. The findings included areas with IRON AGE and ROMAN Pottery, another area where there was also some medieval pottery. At the point closest to the river there were pits containing a crouched burial and a beaker cremation both of which are dated as EARLY BRONZE AGE.
