Details
This was an illustrated talk reflecting the history of many underground establishments and their role in developing Britain’s air defences after WWI. They come in all different sizes and were equipped with the technology to fight against any invasion and to continue with an operational government.
There has been no systematic effort to maintain these historical sites on good condition hence many are not available for public access and hence do not retain their original features.
