The talk introduced the new project on Land Ownership in the parish. One of the initial objectives was to develop skills in the use of GIS software for mapping. The talk showed how the QGIS package was being used to support all aspects of the project e.g. archaeology findings, HER datasets, Land Tax records etc.
A mindmap showing all facets of the project was summarised – the initial findings on the Domesday Inquest showed how the main land owners at Sharnbrook had much more significant lands in other parts of the county and even in other parts of the Country.
