This talk was the third review of the archive and examples of newly acquired photos covered 10 different subjects. A number of the photos told the story of the railways within the village and covered buildings, staff accidents, ticket prices and the major locomotive accidents in 1909 and 1971.
Recent enquiries about family history links have resulted in new images for families named BARNES, CHAPPELL and NEWELL. This has included new photos relevant to our research on Senior Police Officers in the Sharnbrook Division.
The opportunity was taken to highlight what is needed to constitute a good addition to the archve i.e. the image to have an annotation showing the nature of the event, the people involved and the date.
