The talk gave a comprehensive history of the Regiment both in terms of its structure , which was complex because of it’s many amalgamations with other regiments, and its involvement in many conflicts around the world.
It was considered a very unlucky regiment in the sense that it was often deployed away from the main battles where successes where enjoyed hence its list of battle honours is relatively small.
The talk was supported by an exhibition of regimental memorabilia including a WW1 sweetheart cushion and bayonet
