This talk was based on a series of archaeological investigations in the east of Northamptonshire. The focus was on fieldwalking in Raunds, Stanwick and West Cotton. Subsequent digs unearthed the features linked with Furnell Manor. Many of the finding in this part of Northants showed a similarity with the claylands north of the River Great Ouse in Bedfordshire
